January 2012 – Newsletter
Dear Parents,
Happy New Year to you and your family! We hope you all had a joyous holiday filled with laughter & fun. I couldn’t image anything different with young children around, but still there are many needy families worldwide and locally. Again we helped five families this year through our ‘Giving Tree’ and hopefully put a little more joy in the lives of the children and parents who benefitted. Thank you all again for your generosity – these families are truly thankful.
A new year starts the beginning of our fundraising season here at Little Frogs. On Tuesday, January 24th we have our Pizza Hut fundraiser night. We did this event last year and Pizza Hut was overtaken by Little Frogs and Polliwogs and they found it hard to keep up. This year they are prepared, so let’s keep up our great reputation of having a great turn out. A portion of all eat-in and take out orders between 5pm -9pm will come to Little Frogs, BUT you must present a coupon, so please do not forget to pick one up at the center! If you would like one emailed to you please email Sharon at sharon@littlefrogsandpolliwogs.com.
Into the first week of January and we are still anticipating our first winter snow storm. With winter temperatures outside we are already talking about and planning our ‘Annual Walkathon’ event scheduled for the spring, a ‘Pancake breakfast’ at Applebee’s and starting to think about graduation. Nothing like thoughts of the warmer weather to chase the winter blues away. Stay safe and warm throughout the season and don’t forget to pack those winter hats, boots and mittens as we brave the season. Keeping in theme with our weather – ‘Are you cold?’, is this month’s museum week’s title. The children’s artwork will be on display January 23rd thru 27th. Please stop by and take a look.
Small Smiles will be here Thursday, February 16th educating the children about dental hygiene. The fun starts at 9am.

- Presidents Day – Monday February 20th – CENTER CLOSED.
The next Parent Teacher Advisory Board meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 25th at 5.40pm. We would love to welcome some new members. Please feel free to come along and join us if you are interested.
